Mac OS X und die Sicherheitslücke…
Nun wurde ja von heise online eingehend berichtet, was es mit der neuen Sicherheitslücke auf sich hat. Als Nutzer von Apple Mail habe ich mir doch dann auch testweise die Mail von heise mit dem vermeintlichen JPG schicken lassen. Und siehe da: Ohne dass ich wissender Weise an Apple Mail etwas geändert hätte, erschien, trotz der Anzeige des JPG-Icons, folgendes:
Warum ging das unter OS 10.3.9 noch so schön und unter 10.4.x nicht mehr?
Es ist passiert: erster offizieller Virus unter Mac OS X
Ein böses aber geniales Stück Software ist da entstanden:
Nun, mit der größeren Verbreitung der Macs war es abzusehen, dass das passieren würde…

Naja, so ein richtiger Virus war das nicht, eher ein Trojaner :-)
Midi here I come, part II
It works. Today I connected my Midi-Sax to the emagic a6|2m and it worked.
This is the first time I’m using Midi-data to create music. In the past the WT11 Synthesizer, which is a part of the Midi-Sax, created all the sounds I needed for our old Band „Benny Goldkehlchen and his rythm group“.
Now, let’s see what’s happening. I didn’t play the Saxophone for the last 8 years and I really don’t know, how much I forgot…
Midi here I come…
My friend Martin gave his old Midi Interface from emagic to me. Now I am able to use my Midi-Saxophone from Yamaha to play around with GarageBand. It’s an old interface, but it works and it comes with one Midi-input channel, two analog-out channels and six analog-in channels. And it’s made from cool blue plastic. :-)
The Midi Saxophone is one of my favourite instruments I own. It looks like an intergalatical Vacuum cleaner.
I bought it in 1988, when the band of Peter Gabriel used such strange Instruments like the Stick and the Midi-Sax. It’s pretty cool and hey… the girls liked it a lot, because of its coolness. :-)
