Yesterday they showed Final Fantasy here on german television. I never saw it at the movies and I was right not to look at it: The story is boring and totally confusing. But it was fantastic to see the fine computer animations from 2001. Thinking of it: How would a „FF 2006“ look like? It seems that all the animators agreed not to animate people again in the future. Are there any examples out there how animated people look like with todays softwares?

BumpTop 3D Desktop
This is one of the most sophisticated version of how our Computer desktops could look in the future. BumpTop simulates a real desktop with all the physics involved. Strong sorting capabilities will help the user to arrange and find his documents on the desktop.
I’m not sure, if it’s way to complicated for the most of typical users out there, but it’s a very nice and new way to look at the old metaphors we all know since the appearance of Apples Finder.
