EIMS 3.3 is worth a shot

Glenn Anderson updated EIMS (Eudora Internet Mailserver) a while ago to Version 3.3. EIMS is a very stable mailserver for Mac OS 9 and X. It’s looking back to a very moved history where it was the „Apple Internet Mailserver“, then bought by Eudora and re-bought by Glenn Anderson, who is a New Zealand based guy with awesome programming experience.

The new version is based on Grey-, White- and Blacklisting and has a very nice refurbished Admin-Tool. Greylisting works excellent, today was the first day without any Spam at all since ages!

Looking at the Admin-Tool reveals a fantastic statistic: Running EIMS 3.3 for 5 days now, it analyzed way over 4000 IP numbers. Wow….

EIMS 3.3

If you want a stable, US$ 400.00 Mailserver with sophisticated ways to block Spam, look at EIMS! And if you have an old Mac who is able to run OS 9 at last, give him a nice work to do… ;-) I’m running EIMS with a mailinglist and I’m hosting more than 6 domains on an old G3. This machine is sending more than 10,000 mails a week without any glitches. This truly is a Software that works. Nothing more or less.
