Today I received my iceLink Box. iceLink is an iPod connection kit for your car stereo. The iPod then behaves like a CD changer. You are able to browse through the first 5 playlists on your iPod with your car stereo. I don’t know if my „Audi concert“ is able to interpret the ID3 Tags, but nevertheless the iPod is connected without a cassette or some other strange solutions.
I will write more about it after installation!
Two of my friends are driving audi. One A3 and one A4 convertable. Both have the biggst navigation system which comes with integrated mp3 functions. I don’t know if a external sources like the ipod can be connected but for sure the system does have two SD Card slots… they use 2 GB cards in it. ID tag is displayed and the overall look and feel is really great… but the price for the navigation system will allow you to buy mor the one ipod and iceLink :-)
But only 5 playlists… sounds a little bit poor… but anyway i’m not a friend of the ipod conecpt in general :-)
